United Floor Company Community Involvement

We as a business and as individuals feel it is vitally important for us to give back to our community. For that reason, we support the following:

  • AIA Colorado - The American Institute of Architects in Colorado participates in grant and scholarship

  •      programs to assist Colorado architecture students in furthering their educations.

  • Care & Share Food Bank of Southern Colorado - Care and Share acts as Southern Colorado's sole

  •      food bank for locally and nationally donated and purchased food. Through a network of more than
400 different service agencies, they distributed over 11.3 million pounds of food to 99,000 different
people in 2008. An extremely efficient not-for-profit organization, only 6 cents of every dollar donated
         goes to administration and fundraising.

  •      Career Day for high school students interested in a career in the construction field. Contractors from
all disciplines participate by providing students with educational requirements, job descriptions,

and hands-on activities are also available to students. Career day is a great way to introduce the
construction industry to the next generation, and to provide them with insight into the job
